Open for requests

Each round has a set number of places and runs for a fixed time; we pick testers for each one.

Beta or early access?

Two different stages

Beta comes first, and it is by invitation. Early access is a paid release anyone can buy. Not every product has both.

Beta

Before release. Testers we invite.

Who: Testers we pick for each round, from requests on this page
Cost: Free for the length of the round
Builds: Unfinished: expect rough edges
After: A discount on the launch price, as thanks

Early access

Released, still being finished. Open to anyone.

Who: Anyone. Nothing to apply for
Cost: Paid, at a discount on the full price
Lasts: Usually one to three months
After: Updates keep coming up to the full release

Some products go straight from beta to release, with no early access.
